LOCUM RADIATION ONCOLOGIST

The Radiation Medicine Program (RMP) of The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and motivated radiation oncologist to fill a locum position with the Gynecologic & Breast disease site groups. The vision of the program, consistent with that of the hospital, is to be a top 10% North American performer in our clinical, educational and research mandates. Interested applicants must possess qualities that will help us achieve this goal.

The program, spread over two physical sites, has a cadre of modern equipment for simulation, planning and delivery making it one of the best equipped centers in Canada. The program delivers 7000 courses of radiotherapy per year and has active programs in brachytherapy, stereotactic radiotherapy, adaptive radiotherapy and total body/total marrow irradiation.

The position is for a minimum of 12 months and would at a minimum be a 1.0 FTE position. The workload is nearly exclusively clinical in nature, including call and in-patient duties, the latter being shared amongst the 23 other members of the Division. The successful candidate would be expected to start on January 6, 2026. Closing date for all applications is October 24, 2025. Experience in Gynecologic brachytherapy and current CPSO license would be an asset.  Remuneration would be commensurate on experience and workload.
