Marc Gaudet | Improving Access to Radiotherapy: The Ongoing Relevance of In-Person Outreach
Dr Gaudet is originally from Moncton, New Brunswick. After training at Université Laval and UBC, he started his Radiation Oncologist career in Gatineau, QC including work in the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region of Quebec. He is currently Head of Radiation Oncology at the Ottawa Hospital and an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Ottawa. In 2022, he became one of the first 2 oncologists ever licenced to practice in Nunavut and has since co-led the Cancer Care clinic in Iqaluit. He leads ongoing efforts to increase access to cancer care for rural and northern populations. |
Mira Keyes | Resilience of Self: Lessons Learned
Dr. Keyes is a Clinical Professor in Radiation Oncology, University of British Columbia (UBC), a Fellow (FABS), and president American Brachytherapy Society (ABS), past Vice-Chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and past program director UBC AFC in Brachytherapy, and UBC Radiation Oncology Residency Training. She is a recipient of several teaching and mentorship awards, a keynote speaker at international conferences an author of over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts. She holds CIHR and Michael Smith Foundation grant for translational research in prostate cancer. She has a large GU and breast cancer practice. |
