The Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Oncology is seeking applications for at least 2 Fellowship Positions to begin July 1, 2025.
Clinical and research activities will focus on brachytherapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT),head and neck, patient reported outcomes, and/or health services research, but other areas ofspecialization can be accommodated based on the successful candidate’s interest.

The BC Cancer has a fellowship opportunity available immediately at the Abbotsford Centre (AC). The fellowship position is currently vacant and can commence as soon as feasible for the selected applicant.

Radiation Oncology Fellowship
University of Toronto, ON
The Radiation Oncology Fellowship Program at the University of Toronto is now accepting applications for fellowship positions, from July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026. Fellowships are open to those who have recently completed or expect to complete specialty training in Radiation Oncology. Fellows are sited at either the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University Health Network or the Odette Cancer Centre, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The program offers both clinical and research training and experience. There are 20-25 positions annually encompassing all major tumour sites.

CLINICAL RESEARCH BREAST CANCER FELLOWSHIP
McMaster University, ON
A 1 to 2 year clinical-research fellowship in the radiation treatment of breast cancer is available at the Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Oncology, McMaster University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to obtain further clinical training in the treatment of breast cancer in a multidisciplinary setting. The fellowship will provide experience and mentorship in the principles and methods of clinical research, in the areas of clinical trials, health services research and the evaluation of new radiation technologies.
CLINICAL RESEARCH GENITOURINARY FELLOWSHIP
McMaster University, ON
A 1-2 year fellowship in radiation Oncology is available at the Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Oncology, McMaster University. The primary objective of this fellowship is to provide clinical training and research opportunities in technological and biological advances in genitourinary radiotherapy. The successful candidates will work clinically with and study applications of VMAT or Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for the treatment of genitourinary malignancies.
LUNG & PROSTATE CANCER CLINICAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
McMaster University, ON
A 1-2 year fellowship in radiation Oncology is available at the Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Oncology, McMaster University. The primary objective of this fellowship is to provide clinical training and research opportunities in technological and biological advances in lung and prostate radiotherapy. The successful candidates will work clinically with and study applications of IMRT, VMAT or Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for the treatment of lung and prostate cancer and will have the opportunities to participate in translational – early phase clinical trial and biomarker research in radiotherapy. Formal training can be provided in principles and methods of scientific research in the areas of, i) clinical trial design or ii) translational radiation biology studies, including early phase trials with novel sensitizing agent and biomarker studies.
RADIATION ONCOLOGY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
McMaster University, ON
The primary objective of this 1-2 year fellowship is to provide training and research opportunities in technological advances in radiation therapy. Several streams are available for successful candidates in applications of IMRT,
high dose rate brachytherapy, VMAT and stereotactic radiation therapy. Potential sites of interest include breast, prostate/kidney/ bladder (GU), lung, esophageal, head and neck, gynecological, central nervous system, as well
as bone and oligometastases. Training will also be provided in principles and methods of scientific research in the areas of clinical trials, health services, and translational research including technology evaluations in radiation
oncology.
