Urban Tree Program

This year as we mark the 10th anniversary of the Pamela Catton CROF Fun Run/Walk, we have partnered with Tree Canada –  a non-profit organization dedicated to planting and nurturing trees in rural and urban environments.

Since 1992, Tree Canada has greened more than 700 communities throughout Canada. They have supported the greening of more than 700 schoolyards, and planted more than 10,000 edible fruit and nut trees and shrubs in communities all across Canada to help fight urban food insecurity. to learn more about Tree Canada, click here!

In honour of Dr. Catton, CARO has partnered with the Urban Tree Program to plant a lasting tribute and help make our world greener, 5 trees will be planted in 5 provinces. Your community tree will be planted on National Tree Day on September 22, 2021 as part of a ceremonial planting in British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
