World Cancer Day is Saturday 4, February 2012 - "Together let's do something"

Canadian Association of Radiation Oncology (CARO) - Association canadienne de radio-oncologie (ACRO), UICC member, is promoting World Cancer Day through its means of communication with all its members around the world.

World Cancer Day is the singular initiative under which UICC, its members and the entire world can unite in the fight against the global cancer epidemic. It is only by every person, organisation and government individually doing their part that the world will reduce the burden of cancer and premature deaths from NCDs by 25% by 2025.

The global cancer epidemic is huge and is on the rise. It is a disease that knows no boundaries and has, or will, affect us all either directly or indirectly during our lifetime.
