This year, the ASTRO Translational Research Symposium will be held in collaboration with the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group and the Society of Nuclear Medicine. The two-day symposium, to be held September 7-8 in San Francisco, will cover key topics in biology as well as functional and molecular imaging that are being used as the basis for the design of new treatments. Practical information will also be incorporated into the discussions and will emphasize how to execute and fund clinical trials. The format of the meeting will include didactic lectures, informal discussions and poster sessions.
