Learning Objectives for CARO 2009

The CARO 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting has been developed to provide an opportunity for participants to interact with colleagues and experts in the field of palliative care and symptom control.  The meeting will allow participants to:

• Re-examine the patient experience from cure to palliation, defining issues surrounding cancer survivorship and patient satisfaction
• Appraise the potential role of aggressive radiation therapy in the non-curative setting, including re-irradiation and the adaptation of precision therapy for relapsing cancer
• Review the biological and clinical science of managing bone metastases, updating recent advances in pathophysiologic knowledge, symptom classification and multimodality management.
