Objectives for CARO 2008

The 2008 CARO Annual Scientific Meeting has been developed to provide an opportunity for participants to interact with colleagues and experts in the fields of molecular radiation biology, radiation oncology, radiation physics and radiation therapy in an interprofessional forum with a variety of educational formats. The meeting will allow participants to identify and discuss:

• Strategies to introduce and improve image-guided, high-precision radiation therapy at their own institutions
• Novel molecular and biologic strategies to image and target the cancer microenvironment and sensitize the cancer to radiotherapy to enhance the radiotherapy response
• Current issues, controversies and strategies to enhance cancer control and treatment in Canada.
