Terms of Reference

Website Committee

1. Mandate

This is a standing committee of CARO. It serves to guide the development of the new CARO Website.

2. Objectives

  • To guide the content, format and development of the CARO Website
  • To identify and define how the Website is to be utilized by CARO members and the general public
  • To set standards for further Website development and monitoring

3. Membership

This committee consists of five to six members who are representative of the regions of Canada: British Columbia, the Prairie Provinces, Ontario, Quebec and the Eastern Provinces. The Chair will be appointed by the Board of Directors.

4. Terms of Office

The term of office of members is three years commencing at the Annual General Meeting, following which they may be reappointed for one additional successive term on the same committee.

5. Reporting Relationships

The Website Committee reports to the Board of CARO. The Committee will provide written reports and presentations as requested.

6. Liaisons

This committee will liaise with all of the Committees of CARO as required.

7. Meetings

The Committee will meet at the time of the Annual General Meeting of CARO. The Committee will conduct correspondence or teleconference meetings at the call of the Chair.

9. Financial Arrangements

No committee member shall be remunerated for being or acting as a committee member. CARO will provide support towards Committee meetings held at the Annual General Meeting or to CARO representatives travelling on approved business that is not otherwise supported.

10. By-Laws

This Committee is governed by the By-Laws of CARO.
