Mission Statement/Énoncé de mandat

The mission of the Canadian Association of Radiation Oncology - Association canadienne de radio-oncologie (CARO) is to represent and support its membership nationally and internationally through the promotion of high standards of patient care in the practice of radiation oncology, support of excellence in professional standards, promotion of radiation oncology research and education.

CARO is a partner with other disciplines in seeking to improve the outcome of cancer patients and provides a consultative authority to oncology related agencies, academic institutions and to the public in all matters pertaining to radiotherapy and oncology in Canada.

CARO Énoncé de mandat

Le mandat de la Canadian Association of Radiation Oncology - Association canadienne de radio-oncologie (CARO) est de représenter et de soutenir ses membres, à une échelle nationale et internationale par la promotion de critères élevés de soins aux malades dans l'exercice de la radio-oncologie, ainsi que par la poursuite d'excellence dans les normes professionnelles, la promotion de la recherche en radio-oncologie et une éducation permanente.

La CARO a formé un partenariat avec d'autres disciplines pour essayer d'améliorer les perspectives des malades affectés par le cancer et sert d'expert-conseil aux organismes associés à l'oncologie, aux institutions universitaires et au public pour toute question touchant à la radiothérapie et à l'oncologie au Canada.
